Information About Domed Labels
A domed label is a printed label with a polyurethane coating applied to the top surface and a pressure sensitive adhesive applied to the bottom. Miller Dial can print on any industry standard print material with screen printing or digital printing equipment.
The two part liquid coating is applied to the top surface of the label using equipment ranging from manually directed fluid dispensers to optically-guided, automated dispensing equipment. Once applied, the polyurethane liquid flows to the edge of the label and stops due to the surface tension of the liquid. When the urethane hardens, the result is a lustrous, clear dome encapsulating the underlying graphics. This gives your label an attractive three dimensional appearance that is extremely rugged!
